The Queensland College of Wine Tourism is a purpose-built facility providing education and training for the Queensland wine tourism industry, the first such facility for the wine industry in eastern and northern Australia.
Through an innovative approach to industry training, the College facilitates education and training across 3 levels – secondary, TAFE, and tertiary – in viticulture, oenology, cellar door operations, tourism and hospitality.
Vocational education is contextualised in a real industry setting, with the College operating as a commercial winery, research and commercial laboratory, cellar door, restaurant, and conference/function centre.
Visitors can learn about the Queensland wine industry at the tourism centre, taste the award winning Banca Ridge wines in the cellar door and sample the delights of the café, all presented by students in their unique learning environment.
